Character Assets (Assorted)
Strike Back & Ultra Strike Back were student game projects I worked on during my time at Digipen. They were 2D arcade-style fighting games with hand-drawn sprites, with Strike Back having been developed in a custom engine and Ultra Strike Back being a Unity port that added a much larger cast, including a character I designed and fully animated myself (topmost).
Strike Back, in both its iterations, was a grounded fighting game- all character movesets had a strong basis in real life martial arts. Because of this, it was crucial that character movements and stances were accurate- I had to work closely with our lead designer to ensure that everything I animated was accurate, and had to create many revisions in pursuit of perfection. It was a punishing workflow, but rewarding as well.
Strike Back, as of the time of writing this, is set to release on Steam on April 25th, 2025. Ultra Strike Back’s release date is currently unknown, but hopefully someday it will be ready to be shared with the world.
